Tony Award-winner Ellen Barkin and Treat Williams will star in the Flea Theater‘s benefit reading of Beau Willimon’s The Parisian Woman at the BMCC Tribeca Perfoming Arts Center at 6pm on Monday, October 22. Joel Schumacher will direct the reading.

The play, which is adapted from Henry Becque’s La Parisienne, is set in contemporary Washington D.C. and focuses on the scandalous affairs of a bored and intelligent wife left to her own devices.

Barkin and Williams will be joined by Grace Gummer and Corey Stoll.

Schumacher’s many films include The Phantom of the Opera, Flawless, Batman Forever, and St. Elmo’s Fire. Willimon’s plays include Farragut North (which was adapted into the Oscar-nominated film The Ides of March), Lower Ninth, and Spirit Control.
