”Tough Titty”, inspired by Lampley’s experiences battling breast cancer, will play the Paradise Factory.
Emmy-winning Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andre Braugher and his wife, Homicide: Life on the Street cast member Ami Brabson, will present the New York premiere of Oni Faida Lampley's Tough Titty at the Paradise Factory. Running from April 23-May 11, the semiautobiographical drama by the late playwright Lampley is directed by Lydia Fort.
Inspired by Lampley's own experiences, Tough Titty follows a woman whose breast cancer diagnosis sends her on a journey of self-discovery as she learns to face the disease, her family, and her community. Featured in the company are producer Brabson, along with Christine Toy Johnson (The Music Man), Antoinette LaVecchia (A View From the Bridge), Richard Topol (The Normal Heart), Victor Williams (The King of Queens), Nikkole Salter (Inked Baby), and Elizabeth Van Dyke (Flyin' West).
The creative team includes Brooke Cohen (costume design), Aaron Porter (lighting design), Jason Sherwood (scenic design), Beth Lake (sound design), and Alanna Maniscalco (props master).
