Abby Rosebrock will star in the world premiere of her own play.
Ensemble Studio Theatre has announced casting for the world premiere of Abby Rosebrock's Dido of Idaho, running March 14-April 8 at EST's Curt Dempster Theatre, with opening night set for March 22. Mikhaela Mahony directs.
Rosebrock will star in the production along with Layla Khosh, Curran Connor, Dalia Davi, and Dawn McGee. The creative team will include Angelica Borrero (set design), Christina Watanabe (lighting design), Audrey Nauman (costume design), and Almeda Beynon (sound design).
Dido of Idaho is described as follows: "Nora is a hard-drinking musicologist whose colleague/lover is dragging his feet about leaving his beauty-queen wife. When Nora's hijinks land her at rock bottom, she goes on a quest to get counsel from the only source she has left: her estranged, evangelical mom. Abby Rosebrock’s Dido of Idaho is a horrifying comedy about love, despair and maybe, eventually, hope."
