The pair sings a romantic Jason Robert Brown ballad at MCC Theater’s annual Miscast event.
MCC Theater held its annual Miscast gala on Monday, April 3, at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The evening, which features Broadway stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast, featured an illustrious lineup that included two Hamilton favorites, Mandy Gonzalez and Brandon Victor Dixon, singing Jason Robert Brown's "One Second and a Million Miles" from The Bridges of Madison County. While the duet was originated on Broadway by Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, at Miscast, the roles were reversed: Gonzalez sang Pasquale's part, while Dixon performed O'Hara's. Check it out below:
Proceeds from Miscast support MCC Theater's mission to develop and produce exciting work off-Broadway, as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and MCC's literary development work with emerging playwrights.
