EXCLUSIVE: Jordan Fisher Sings "I'm Here" From The Color Purple at MCC's Miscast

MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala was held Monday, March 26, at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The evening, which features Broadway stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast, featured an illustrious lineup of talent that included Hamilton, Grease Live!, and Dancing With the Stars vet Jordan Fisher, who sang a tune which no one expected to hear: "I'm Here," Celie's 11 o'clock number from The Color Purple. Other participants included Jeremy Jordan singing "She Used to Be Mine" from Waitress, The Band's Visit's Katrina Lenk performing "If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof, and Frozen star Caissie Levy belting out "Shiksa Goddess" from The Last Five Years.
