Go backstage at Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning musical.
Orlando Magic player Aaron Gordon and London Mayor Sadiq Khan were on hand to see the Saturday, September 17 evening performance of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan of the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 Colonies and helped shape the United States of America.
The show, which had its world premiere at the Public Theater, features a Tony-winning book and score by Miranda, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
