Kate Skinner will star in the two plays, presented by the Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company.
A pair of little-known Tennessee Williams one-acts, written the year before his death, will receive their premieres in early 2016 as a produciton of the Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company. Tennessee Williams 1982 will be directed by Cosmin Chivu, running from February 14-March 13 at Walkerspace.
The evening, which will star Broadway vet Kate Skinner (The Graduate), will include the world premiere of A Recluse and His Guest and the New York premiere of The Remarkable Rooming-House of Mme. Le Monde. "These two chamber pieces epitomize the theatrical imagination the playwright employed throughout his long writing career combined with the freedom he found later in life," according to press notes.
A Recluse and His Guest follows a person of indeterminate gender to find someone in a small mythical town to care for. In The Remarkable Rooming-House of Mme. Le Monde, Williams offers a "theatrical preview of the world we live in now."
