What better way to learn about this year’s Broadway front-runners?

The Tony Awards are just days away, and the race for this year's Best Musical is still anyone's guess. Come From Away, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Dear Evan Hansen, and Groundhog Day are all in the running for the top prize. So to put each contender in a fresh context, we decided to accept a tour of the Best Musical nominees from none other than the unsung heroes of this year's Broadway season — the Tams of Miss Saigon.

Gergory Ye (light-blue hoodie) and Samuel Li Weintraub (dark-blue hoodie) alternate in the silent role of Kim's son in the Tony-nominated musical revival, but in real life, they're a pair of boisterous musical-theater fans just like the rest of us. Watch as they traverse the streets of New York City, performing snippets from each of this year's Tony-nominated musicals. It'll make you sad that Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg didn't write Tam a solo from the start.
