Broadway veterans Jane Krakowski and Gavin Creel also star in Roundabout Theatre Company’s new revival.
New photos have been released featuring the charming cast of Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, and Joe Masteroff's She Loves Me, which opens at Broadway's Studio 54 on March 17.
The classic musical is inspired by Miklós László's play Parfumerie, which also served as the inspiration for the films The Shop Around the Corner and You've Got Mail. The work tells the story of Amalia and Georg, a pair of perfume-shop coworkers engaged in a battle of wits who unknowingly become romantic pen pals.
She Loves Me stars Laura Benanti (Amalia), Zachary Levi (Georg), Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath (Sipos), Jane Krakowski (Ilona), Nicholas Barasch (Arpad), and Peter Bartlett (Head Waiter). The ensemble is made up of Cameron Adams, Alison Cimmet, Justin Bowen, Preston Truman Boyd, Benjamin Eakeley, Sara Edwards, Michael Fatica, Gina Ferrall, Jenifer Foote, Andrew Kober, Laura Shoop, and Jim Walton.
Scott Ellis directs the Broadway production, which features choreography by Warren Carlyle and musical direction by Paul Gemignani. The creative team includes David Rockwell (sets), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), Don Holder (lights), Jon Weston (sound), Larry Hochman (orchestrations), and David Krane (dance arrangements and incidental music).
