Colby joined the company on November 19.
Austin Colby recently joined Jersey Boys at New World Stages, and new photos of him in the role of Bob Gaudio have been released.
Starring alongside Colby are Aaron De Jesus as Frankie Valli, Mark Edwards as Nick Massi, and Sam Wolf as Tommy DeVito. The production also includes Dianna Barger, Stephen Cerf, Amanda Dela Cruz, Andrew Frace, Natalie Gallo, Austin Owen, John Rochette, Paul Sabala, Dru Serkes, and Joshua Charles Skurnik.
Written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and includes dozens of their popular hits including "Walk Like a Man," "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
The show's Broadway production opened on November 6, 2005, after playing an out-of-town tryout run at the La Jolla Playhouse. It closed 11 years later on January 15, 2017. A film version directed by Clint Eastwood was released in 2014.
Like the Broadway production, the off-Broadway staging is directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, with music supervision, vocal and dance arrangements and incidental music by Ron Melrose, and orchestrations by Steve Orich.
