”Glee”’s Laura Dreyfuss costars in the world-premiere Pasek and Paul musical.
The world premiere of Dear Evan Hansen is now in performance at Washington, D.C.'s Arena Stage. The new musical features a book by Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex) and a score by Tony-nominated songwriting team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (A Christmas Story).
Directed by Tony nominee Michael Greif, the musical is described as "a contemporary, intimate story of hope, heartache and the things in life we all need — friends, family and a place to call home."
Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect, The Book of Mormon) stars in the title role, alongside Rachel Bay Jones (Pippin), Laura Dreyfuss (Glee, Once), Tony nominee Jennifer Laura Thompson (Wicked), and Emmy winner Michael Park (As the World Turns, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), with Mike Faist (Newsies), Alexis Molnar (Harbor), and Will Roland (The Black Suits) rounding out the company.
