First Look at Ethan Lipton's The Outer Space

Ethan Lipton's world premiere musical, The Outer Space is currently in performances at Joe's Pub. Tony nominee Leigh Silverman (Violet) directs the production. Opening night is set for March 8 and performances continue through April 9.

With book and lyrics by Lipton, The Outer Space also features music composed and performed by Ethan Lipton, Vito Dieterle, Eben Levy, and Ian Riggs. The tale follows two human beings who buy an old spaceship, leaving the noise, pollution, and overpriced rents of Earth for the vast beauty and treacherous terrain of the final frontier.

The Outer Space features scenic and costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Nicholas Pope.
