Betsy Aidem takes on the role of Lee Harvey Oswald’s mother in the production.
George Street Playhouse has released production photos from its upcoming New York metro area premiere of Mama’s Boy, running October 18-November 6 at the New Brunswick theater.
Written by Rob Urbinati, the play is described as follows: "Marguerite Oswald was domineering, obsessive, and desperate in her need to be loved by her younger son, Lee Harvey. She never believed her son was a monster — but was she the cause? Mama's Boy presents a chilling glimpse into the Oswald household before and after that fateful November morning in Dallas."
Betsy Aidem (All the Way) stars as Marguerite Oswald alongside Michael Goldsmith (Doctor Who) who plays Lee Harvey Oswald. Rounding out the cast are Laurel Casillo (Act One), who reprises the role of Lee Harvey's wife, Marina, from the play's 2015 world premiere at the Good Theatre Company, and Miles G. Jackson, who returns to George Street following last season's My Name Is Asher Lev to play Lee Harvey's brother, Robert. George Street Playhouse artistic director David Saint, who celebrates his 20th anniversary at the Playhouse, will direct.
The creative team includes scenic designer Michael Anania, costume designer Michael McDonald, lighting designer Ken Billington, and original music composer and sound designer Scott Killian.
