The Heidi Schreck drama makes its Chicago premiere.
Heidi Schreck's Grand Concourse begins performances at Steppenwolf Theatre Company this Thursday, July 2. Directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, the drama follows Shelley, who, having dedicated her life to religious service, runs a Bronx soup kitchen with unsentimental efficiency. When Emma — a rainbow-haired college dropout — arrives to volunteer, her volatile mix of generosity and self-involvement pushes Shelley over the edge.
The company features Francis Guinan and Tim Hopper sharing the role of Frog, with Mariann Mayberry as Shelley, Brittany Uomoleale as Emma, and Victor Almanzar as Oscar. Take a look at the cast in rehearsal for the Chicago premiere production.
