Pam MacKinnon directs the new play at Playwrights Horizons.
Playwrights Horizons has released the first production images from its New York premiere production of The Qualms, a new play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Bruce Norris. Directed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon, the play began previews on May 22, and has an opening night set for June 14. The run is scheduled through July 12.
The Qualms takes place at a suburban get-together for partner-swapping couples where newly married Chris (Jeremy Shamos) and Kristy (Sarah Goldberg) attend an alcohol-fueled party for swingers, only to find themselves at odds with the idea of free love and each other.
In addition to Shamos and Goldberg, the cast of The Qualms features Kate Arrington, Donna Lynne Champlin, Noah Emmerich, Julian Leong, Andy Lucie, Chinasa Ogbuagu, and John Procaccino.
