Lynne Meadow directs the play starring Janie Dee for Manhattan Theatre Club.
Linda, a new play by Penelope Skinner, makes its American debut as it opens tonight at New York City Center – Stage I. The production is directed by Manhattan Theatre Club artistic director Lynne Meadow.
The show is described as follows: "Linda Wilde has it all. She's an award-winning senior executive as well as a busy wife and mother. But when she pitches a revolutionary concept that could change the way the world looks at women of a certain age, she finds herself fighting for her own relevance as every part of her carefully considered life starts to show cracks." Previously, Linda played London's Royal Court Theatre.
Linda features Olivier Award winner Janie Dee (Hand to God) as Linda, Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal) as Stevie, Molly Griggs (Ultimate Beauty Bible) as Amy, Jennifer Ikeda (Vietgone) as Alice, Maurice Jones (The Cherry Orchard) as Luke, Donald Sage Mackay (Stop. Reset.) as Neil, Molly Ranson (Fish in the Dark) as Bridget, and John C. Vennema (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Dave.
The creative team includes Walt Spangler (scenic design), Jennifer Von Mayrhauser (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Fitz Patton (original music and sound design), Rocco DiSanti (video design), and Ben Furey (dialect coach).
