Broadway ”Cabaret” veteran Andrea Goss stars as the production’s Sally Bowles.
First production photos have been released from Roundabout Theatre Company's national tour of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall's Tony Award-winning production of Cabaret. The tour premiered in Rhode Island at the Providence Performing Arts Center on January 26 and will begin performances at Pittsburgh's Benedum Center on February 2.
Randy Harrison, best known for his portrayal of Justin in the Showtime drama Queer as Folk takes on the role of the Emcee while Andrea Goss, a veteran of Roundabout's Cabaret on Broadway will return to the role of Sally Bowles. Joining them are Shannon Cochran as Fraulein Schneider, Alison Ewing as Fraulein Kost, Mark Nelson as Herr Schultz, Ned Noyes as Ernst Ludwig, and Lee Aaron Rosen as Clifford Bradshaw.
The Kander and Ebb musical, based on the stories of Christopher Isherwood and John Van Druten's drama I Am a Camera, ran April 24, 2014-March 29, 2015 at Studio 54. The revival production, which first opened in 1998, returned to Roundabout's Broadway home in April 2014 with its Tony-winning Emcee Alan Cumming and Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles.
The creative team for the North American tour includes original direction by Sam Mendes, original codirection and choreography by Rob Marshall, tour direction recreated by BT McNicholl, tour choreography recreated by Cynthia Onrubia, set design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari, sound design by Keith Caggiano based on the original Broadway design by Brian Ronan, with hair and wig design by Paul Huntley. Music direction is by Robert Cookman.
