Lila Neugebauer’s production opens February 21 at Signature Theatre.
Signature Theatre's production of Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo: Homelife & The Zoo Story, directed by Drama Desk Award winner Lila Neugebauer (Everybody), recently began performances at Pershing Square Signature Center ahead of a February 21 opening night for its run through March 11. Check out photos from the production in the gallery below.
The cast includes two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran (Noises Off), Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love), and Emmy Award nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards).
In Act 1, Homelife, we meet Peter and his wife, who live a comfortable but vaguely unhappy bourgeois existence; in Act 2, Albee's classic The Zoo Story, Peter is forever altered by an oddly persistent stranger in Central Park. With jolts of brutality and Albee's signature dark humor, this seminal play explores both the love and the cruelty that we inflict on each other every day.
The creative team includes Andrew Lieberman (set design), Kaye Voyce (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), Bray Poor (sound design), and UnkleDave's Fight House (fight direction).
