The Cameron Crowe film is coming to the stage with a brand-new score…and maybe some Elton John.

Almost Famous is officially stage-bound, as we learned earlier this week with news of the impending Cameron Crowe-Tom Kitt collaboration.

Kitt — the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer behind such musicals as Next to Normal, If/Then, and Freaky Friday — will pen a new score for the film's stage adaptation. As much as we're looking forward to a fresh set of showtunes, every Almost Famous fan is probably hoping "Tiny Dancer" will be one of the songs to survive the screen-to-stage transfer.

I mean…who doesn't want to see this scene live onstage?

Happy Friday!
