The chameleonic Meryl Streep will take on the role of opera legend Maria Callas in Mike Nichol's upcoming film adaptation of Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play Master Class. Though she did star in the 2008 film Mamma Mia!, it's been quite a while since we've been treated to Streep's singing voice. And it's been even longer since she let her vocal prowess loose in a film helmed by frequent collaborator Mike Nichols. In fact, it seems like the last time might have been in this clip from 1990's Postcards From the Edge. While this rendition of "You Don't Know Me" isn't quite operatic, it does make us excited to see what else Streep can do.
