Stage and screen veteran Frances Conroy will appear on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Asylum, according to a Tweet from series creator Ryan Murphy.
Conroy, who received an Emmy nomination for her work on the series’ first season, will play “the ultimate angel,” Murphy announced.
The actress will appear in Broad Stage‘s 25th anniversary reading of Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias on September 9. She has been seen on stage in The Lady From Dubuque, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and The Subject Was Roses, and is perhaps best known for her work on the HBO series Six Feet Under.
