Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers Biopic to Star Jamie Bell and Margaret Qualley

Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) and Margaret Qualley (Maid) will star in a film biopic about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Fred & Ginger is by Arash Amel and directed by Jonathan Entwistle. The music team, tasked with re-creating the song and dance that Astaire and Rogers are famous for, includes Marius de Vries, Mark Sonnenblick, Abigail Barlow, and Emily Bear. Christopher Wheeldon will choreograph.

The film will focus on a "life-defining point in their early careers when their contrasting dance styles and intense rivalry threatened to destroy their partnership and carefully honed image forever."
