The Disney musical has been playing for about a year now at Broadway’s St. James Theatre.
Disney Theatrical Productions has announced three international productions of Frozen joining the previously announced North American tour launching this fall. The show will premiere in Sydney at the Capitol Theatre in July 2020, in London at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane in fall 2020, and in a new production in Hamburg, Germany, in 2021.
Frozen has been playing at Broadway's St. James for almost a year now, after opening on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Based on the hit 2013 animated film, it features music and lyrics by the creators of the film score, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a book by Jennifer Lee, the film's screenwriter and codirector. Michael Grandage directs, with choreography by Rob Ashford.
The current Broadway company features original stars Caissie Levy and Patti Murin as Elsa and Anna, as well as Noah J. Ricketts (Kristoff), Ryann Redmond (Olaf), Joe Carroll (Hans), Robert Creighton (Weselton), Kevin Del Aguila (Oaken), Zach Hess (Pabbie), and Andrew Pirozzi and Adam Jepsen sharing the role of Sven.
