New York City
The high-flying spectacle toasts its occasion with new projection elements in addition to the in-theater rain storm.
Fuerza Bruta celebrated its 10th global anniversary on Thursday, July 7. To toast the occasion, the long-running New York production at the Daryl Roth Theatre featured a one-night-only extended DJ set by Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation. The evening also served as the premiere of a new high-tech digital projection element in the immersive show.
Fuerza Bruta is described as a "70 minute thrill ride, including an extra 20 minutes of heart-thrashing, fast-paced fun, rousing live music, and breathtaking aerial displays." The show features a newly designed giant scenography and scenes set above the audience.
The New York City production of Fuerza Bruta originally began performances at the Daryl Roth Theatre in 2007, and recently celebrated its 2,500th performance. The show originated performances in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2005.
