Joe DiPietro’s comedy makes its off-Broadway debut this fall.
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming off-Broadway engagement of Joe DiPietro's Clever Little Lies. After a run at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse in 2013, the dark comedy will play Westside Theatre.
As previously announced, the cast is led by Marlo Thomas, who reprises her starring turn as family matriarch Alice alongside fellow original cast members Kate Wetherhead and Greg Mullavey. George Merrick completes the company.
Directed by David Saint, Clever Little Lies follows a family as a web of secrets and lies is unraveled over the course of an evening, and a confidence shared between a father and son escalates into an unexpected revelation.
The design team for Clever Little Lies includes Yoshi Tanokura (scenic design), Esther Arroyo (costume design), Christopher J. Bailey (lighting design), and Scott Killian (sound design and composition).
Performances will begin September 18. Producers announced today that opening night has been moved from the previously scheduled October 14 to October 12, with the limited engagement set to conclude January 3.
