The Storm Theatre Company will present Marcel Pagnol’s Marius, September 7-October 13 at the Theatre at the Church of Notre Dame. Peter Dobbins will direct.
Adapted from the French by Zack Rogow, Marius chronicles the trials of the young, daydreaming bartender Marius, who, while desperate for a life at sea, is torn by his love for the beautiful Fanny. Marius and the plays Fanny and Cesar were combined in the Broadway musical Fanny and the motion picture of the same name.
The cast will feature Gerard Adimando, Gabe Bettio, David Bodenschatz, Laura Bozzone, Ross DeGraw, Benjamin Jones, Dianna Martin, Anthony Russo, Jose Sanchez, and Sawyer Mastrandrea.
The design team will include Josh Iacovelli (set design), Courtney Irizarry (costume design), Michael Abrams (lighting design), and Kenneth Goodwin (sound design).
