Gary DeWitt Marshall, Curtis McClarin to Star in South Coast Rep’s Topdog/Underdog

Seret Scott will direct.</p> <p> Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, the play tells the story of two African-American brothers:<br /> Lincoln (McClarin) is a former three-card monte hustler now working as an Abraham Lincoln impersonator in a rundown arcade; Booth (Marshall) is a shoplifter. </p> <p> Marshall starred on Broadway in <i>The Song of Jacob Zulu</i>, with television credits including <i>24</i> and <i>Life on Mars</i>. McClarin performed on Broadway in <i>Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk</i>, with Off-Broadway credits including <i>The Good Negro</I> and <i>King Hedley II</i>.</p> <p> The design team will include Shaun Motley (set), Soojin Lee (costumes), Jaymi Smith (lighting), and Sam Lerner (sound).</p> <p> <a href=http://www.theatermania.com/los-angeles/shows/topdogunderdog_188496 target=_blank>Click here for more information and <i>Topdog/Underdog</i> tickets.</a></p> <div style=
