Monopoly: The Musical is advancing toward Broadway with its newly announced creative team.

According to published reports, Jersey Boys scribe Rick Elice, along with songwriters Dan Lipton and David Rossmer will hop aboard the B. & O. Railroad to create the show's book and score, respectively. The board-game-inspired stage production is produced by Hasbro, Inc. and the Araca Group. The show is expected to be set during the Great Depression.

The Araca Group has produced the Broadway productions of Urinetown, Disgraced, and Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune. It is currently a coproducer on Wicked. Hasbro's many brands include My Little Pony, Nerf, Transformers, Magic: The Gathering, and Play-Doh, among others.

No timeline or official information has been announced.
