Gina Gionfriddo's Can You Forgive Her? to Open Off-Broadway

The Vineyard Theatre has announced dates and creative team details for its spring production of two-time Pulitzer Prize-finalist Gina Gionfriddo's Can You Forgive Her?, directed by Peter DuBois. Performances will begin May 4 in advance of a May 23 opening.

Can You Forgive Her? had its world premiere at Boston's Huntington Theatre Company in the spring of 2016. The story is described as follows: "It’s Halloween night, and Miranda is desperate for a way out. She’s drowning in debt, may be falling for her sugar daddy, and is on the run from her date who has threatened to kill her. When she meets Graham and Tanya, a door opens, for all of them…But is what’s beyond a treat or a trick?"

The creative team includes scenic design by Allen Moyer, costumes by Jessica Pabst, lighting by Russell Champa, and sound by Daniel Kluger.

Gionfriddo is best known for her play Becky Shaw, a finalist for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and Rapture, Blister, Burn, a finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Casting for Can Your Forgive Her? will be announced at a later date.
