Performances of the Broadway hit begin tonight.
Anything Goes starts its run tonight at Goodspeed Musicals this evening.
Nightclub singer, Reno Sweeney is on the S.S. American headed from New York to England. Also packed aboard the transatlantic luxury liner is her friend Billy Crocker, a starry-eyed stowaway following his love, Hope Harcourt, and Public Enemy No. 13. The musical features some of Cole Porter’s most beloved songs, including “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” and “Blow, Gabriel, Blow.”
Daniel Goldstein directs Cole Porter’s iconic music and lyrics with original book by Guy Bolton, P.G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay, and Russel Crouse and new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman. The cast features Rashidra Scott as Reno Sweeney, David Harris as Billy Crocker, Stephen DeRosa as Moonface Martin, Desiree Davar as Erma, Hannah Florence as Hope Harcourt, Denise Lute as Mrs. Wadsworth T. Harcourt, Benjamin Howes as Sir Evelyn Oakleigh, Kingsley Leggs as Elisha J. Whitney, and Patrick Richwood as Purser.
The creative team includes Wilson Chin (set design), Ilona Somogyi (costume design), Brian Tovar (lighting design), Jay Hilton (sound design), Michael O’Flaherty (music director), William J. Thomas (assistant music director), and Dan DeLange (orchestrations).
Performances will run through June 16.
