The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia will cease operations on June 30, according to a report in The Philadelphia Inquirer. The service organization for theaters in the area has been in existence for over two decades.

The organization lists nearly 150 institutions as members, including the Arden Theatre Company, the Philadelphia Theatre Company and the Walnut Street Theatre. Among the programs the alliance has traditionally offered are ticketing services for theaters, audience development initiatives, and combined auditioning services, which allow performers to be seen my representatives from multiple theaters at one time. Some of these initiatives will be taken over by individual theaters.
