Hamilton Delays West End Opening at Victoria Palace Theatre

Due to ongoing expansion and reconstruction efforts at the Victoria Palace Theatre, Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton in London's West End will now begin previews on December 6, two weeks later than its originally announced start date of November 21. The official opening night will now be on December 21.

As a result, 16 performances will need to be rescheduled. Customers who purchased tickets via official channels will be contacted directly by Ticketmaster in order to be reseated. Tickets that had been held in reserve to be used at the time the building was nearing completion will be allocated to those patrons who originally booked for the rescheduled performances.

As previously announced, Hamilton's lead West End cast features Christine Allado (Peggy Schuyler / Maria Reynolds), Rachelle Ann Go (Eliza Hamilton), Tarinn Callender (Hercules Mulligan / James Madison), Michael Jibson (King George), Rachel John (Angelica Schuyler), Jason Pennycooke (Marquis de Lafayette / Thomas Jefferson), Cleve September (John Laurens / Philip Hamilton), Giles Terera (Aaron Burr), Obioma Ugoala (George Washington), and Jamael Westman (Alexander Hamilton). At certain performances, the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Ash Hunter.
