Announced today via the @HamiltonMusical Twitter account, Hamilfans will get one last ride at the Richard Rodgers Theatre as the production retires the beloved (and free) pre-show ritual of live #Ham4Ham performances.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical phenomenon began the tradition of pairing its live $10 lottery drawings with outdoor performances when it opened on Broadway last summer. In April of this year, the production scaled back to just one live lottery drawing and one live #Ham4Ham performance per week, holding them prior to the Wednesday matinee. However, the show has announced that the Wednesday afternoon pre-show shows will be no more after August 31 (at least "for now") with potential for the occasional digital #Ham4Ham show.

So if you're ready to say goodbye to the Broadway remixes performed with makeshift microphones, join the rest of New York City tomorrow at noon to make your peace. And if not, don't try to buy your lunch 46th Street.
