Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical just finished an engagement there before moving to Los Angeles.
Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton will return to San Francisco in early 2019, producer Jeffrey Seller has announced. Information regarding engagement dates and other information will be announced in the coming months.
The first national tour of Hamilton opened in San Francisco on March 10, 2017, and moves to Los Angeles following the final performance at SHN Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, August 5. Performances begin at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday, August 11. A second national touring company will launch in February 2018. The cast will debut at Seattle's Paramount Theatre on February 6, 2018, for a six-week stay, with stops in Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City; Costa Mesa, California; Las Vegas; Des Moines, Iowa; Cleveland; and Minneapolis to follow.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War, and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. The musical won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations.
