Broadway’s newest puppet show celebrates the start of rehearsals with a day in the Big Apple.
Hand to God, Robert Askins' dark comedy featuring a slew of foulmouthed puppets, is now in rehearsal for its Broadway run. Following a successful off-Broadway engagement with MCC last year, performances are set to begin March 14 at the Booth Theatre.
Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, Hand to God tells the story of Jason, a young member of the Christian Puppet Ministry in Cypress, Texas, whose life is thrown into chaos when Tyrone, his hand puppet, takes on a dangerous personality of his own. Take a look as Tyrone, surrounded by the buzz of Broadway, takes a trip to Times Square to check out his brand-new billboard with some furry comrades.
