The company of the New York premiere of Party Face, a new comedy by Isobel Mahon and directed by Amanda Bearse, met the press today, December 18. Performances are set to begin January 11, 2018, at New York City Center – Stage II ahead of an opening night set for January 22. Performances run through April 8.
Academy Award winner Hayley Mills (The Parent Trap) leads the cast. She will be joined by Klea Blackhurst, Gina Costigan, Brenda Meaney, and Allison Jean White.
Party Face is described as follows: "You're invited to a party that's full of surprises. Watch as careful plans are upended when a young woman's mother brings her own food to her daughter's party — and also the 'right' person to be her daughter's new best friend. They put on their 'party faces' and hope for the best — but facades crack, secrets spill…and laughter roars as their revelry leads to revelations."
The production will feature set design by Jeff Ridenour, lighting design by Joyce Liao, costume design by Michael Blatzer, and sound design by Damien Figueras.
