Grand Concourse, a new play written by Heidi Schreck and directed by Kip Fagan, celebrated its opening night at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater on November 12. Starring Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Ismenia Mendes, Bobby Moreno, and Lee Wilkof, the production follows Shelley (Bernstine), the manager of a Bronx soup kitchen whose heart is no longer in her work. She then meets Emma (Mendes), an idealistic but confused young volunteer with mixed intentions, whose recklessness pushes Shelley to the breaking point.

Following the performance, the cast, creative team, and their guests headed to Bea Restaurant on West 43rd Street for the festive opening-night party. The production runs through November 30.
