Cabaret director Sam Mendes was honored with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre by Roundabout Theatre Company at its annual gala on March 10 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Guests for the evening included a long list of Roundabout friends and alums including Dame Helen Mirren, Jeremy Irons, Donna Murphy, Sutton Foster, and Jane Krakowski, among many others.
