Further casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway run of Peter Morgan’s The Audience, starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren. Dylan Baker (God of Carnage) and Tony Award winner Judith Ivey (The Heiress) will join the company in the roles of John Major and Margaret Thatcher. The Audience is set to run from February 17-June 28, 2015, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, with an official March 8 opening.

Baker and Ivey join the previously announced Geoffrey Beevers as The Queen’s Equerry, Michael Elwyn as Anthony Eden, Richard McCabe as Harold Wilson, and Rufus Wright as David Cameron. Full casting of the 18-member company will be announced in the future, including the roles of three more prime ministers.

Two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) directs The Audience, which explores the reign of Queen Elizabeth II from 1952 to 2012 through her weekly meetings with England's prime ministers. Morgan also wrote the screenplay for the 2006 film The Queen, which starred Mirren portraying the same legendary figure. She earned an Academy Award for her performance.
