Himself and Nora, a new musical featuring book, music, and lyrics by Jonathan Brielle, will end its run at the Minetta Lane Theatre on August 6 after 26 previews and 71 performances.

Directed by Michael Bush, the show explores the relationship between author James Joyce (Matt Bogart) and Nora (Whitney Bashor), the country girl from Galway whose burning sexuality and acerbic wit inspired the genius. The cast also features Michael McCormick, Cole Burden, Lianne Marie Dobbs, Victoria Huston-Elem, and Gary Troy.

The production has musical direction by James Sampliner, choreography by Kelli Barclay, set design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by Jason Lyons, and sound design by Keith Caggiano.
