I Can Get It for You Wholesale Revival to Get Cast Recording

Concord Theatricals Recordings has announced that it will release the 2023 off-Broadway cast recording of Classic Stage Company’s revisal of I Can Get It for You Wholesale, starring Tony Award winner Santino Fontana (Tootsie), alongside Rebecca Naomi Jones (Oklahoma!) and Tony nominees Judy Kuhn (Fun Home) and Julia Lester (Into the Woods).

Featuring a score by Harold Rome, the album is set for release this fall. I Can Get It for You Wholesale was the winner of the Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical and Kuhn tied for an Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Featured Performer in an Off-Broadway Musical.

The album is produced by three-time Grammy Award winner Sean Patrick Flahaven, chief theatricals executive for Concord, and Grammy and Olivier Award nominee David Chase. The music from the revival was adapted and arranged by Chase, with music direction and orchestrations by Jacinth Greywoode. Last seen on Broadway in 1962, I Can Get It for You Wholesale has a book by Jerome Weidman based on his own novel. CSC’s production featured a reimagined book by his son, John Weidman, helmed by director Trip Cullman. In this dark musical comedy, Bronx-born shipping clerk Harry Bogen must choose between the comfort of community and his own ambitious dreams.

The CSC revival of I Can Get It for You Wholesale ran from October 10, 2023-December 17, 2023. In addition to Fontana, Jones, Kuhn, and Lester, the cast included Adam Chanler-Berat, Eddie Cooper, Victor de Paula Rocha, Adam Grupper, Darron Hayes, Greg Hildreth, Hayley Podschun, Sarah Steele, Joy Woods, Ephie Aardema, Jennifer Babiak, Billy Cohen, and John Plumpis.
