The classic romance is now running at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
Chicago Shakespeare Theater is now in performance of Shakespeare's classic romance story The Tempest, directed by Aaron Posner and Teller, of the magical duo Penn and Teller. Performances will run through November 8 in the Courtyard Theater.
The reimagined production features songs by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, with choreography by Matt Kent of the dance troupe Pilobolus. Larry Yando stars as Prospero, with Eva Louise Balistrieri as Miranda, Luigi Sottile as Ferdinand, Nate Dendy as Ariel, Manelich Minniefee and Zach Eisenstat as Caliban, Barbara Robertson as Gonzala, Adam Wesley Brown as Trinculo, Lawrence Grimm as Antonio, Michael Aaron Lindner as Sebastian, John Lister as Alonso, Ron E. Rains as Stephano, and Christopher Rose as Minion (as well as the production's assistant magic designer).
