Named for writer Jerome Lawrence, the Jerome Lawrence Award is periodically presented to an outstanding individual who has made major contributions to both the William Inge Theatre Festival and national professional theater.
Theatre Hall of Famer Elizabeth Wilson’s career includes Broadway productions such as A Delicate Balance and Ah, Wilderness. She earned a Tony Award for her performance in the New York Shakespeare Festival’s production of Sticks and Bones. Her film and television credits include The Graduate, 9 to 5, Grace Quigley with Katherine Hepburn, and Child is Waiting with Judy Garland.
The Gala Dinner will also feature Broadway and professional performers, with the musical entertainment directed by Luke Yankee. Musical direction will be by Paul Baker. Previously reported honoree David Henry Hwang will be in attendance all four days of the festival.
