Evanna Lynch and Colin Campbell will make their U.S. stage debuts with this production.
Irish Repertory Theatre announced that it will present a new production of Enda Walsh's breakthrough play Disco Pigs to celebrate its 20th anniversary January 5-February 18, 2018, with opening night set for January 8.
Directed by John Haidar, the production will star Evanna Lynch — best known to U.S. audiences for playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films — and Colin Campbell, with both actors making their U.S. stage debuts. The creative team will include Richard Kent (set and costume design), Elliot Griggs (lighting design), Giles Thomas (sound design), and Naomi Said (movement direction).
Disco Pigs is described as follows: "Born at the same time on the same day in the same hospital, Pig and Runt have been inseparable ever since. They speak in their own language, play by their own rules, and create a world for themselves in which boundaries blur between truth and illusion. Until, on their seventeenth birthday, they discover something more. As night falls, and the disco and drink take hold, they spiral violently out of control."
