The ABBA musical Mamma Mia! will be presented this summer at the Hollywood Bowl, July 28-30. The production will be directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and conducted by David Holcenberg.
With a book by Catherine Johnson and a score culled from the hits of ABBA (music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and some songs with Stig Anderson), Mamma Mia! tells the story of a young woman who attempts to discover the identity of her father as her wedding approaches. The show ran 14 years on Broadway.
Jane the Virgin star Jaime Camil will take on the role of Sam Carmichael. Additional casting is still to be announced.
