Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson make their official Broadway debuts tonight in Nick Payne's Constellations at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The coproduction between MTC and London's Royal Court Theatre is directed by Michael Longhurst.

Constellations explores the relationship between Roland (Gyllenhaal), a beekeeper, and Marianne (Wilson), a quantum physicist, through the concept of the multiverse theory, where several scenarios can coexist at the same time. The work premiered at the Royal Court in 2012, before moving to the West End's Duke of York's Theatre later that year.
