Performances are in full swing for Promising, a new drama by Michelle Elliot being presented by InProximity Theatre Company at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. Directed by Terry Berliner, the production opens tonight, November 18, after beginning previews November 14.

Elliott's drama follows a local politician caught up in a scandal after a startling accusation. With a media circus outside his apartment, and damage control to save his campaign beginning, he must realize how "the maelstrom on the outside affects even his most loyal allies within."

The cast is made up of Jake Robards, Zachary Clark, Jolie Curtsinger, and Kim Wong. The creative team includes James Fenton (set design), Paul Miller and Kirk Fitzgerald (lighting design), Teresa Snider-Stein (costume design), and Scott Stauffer (sound design).
