The Pasek and Paul musical is coming to television.
Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski (She Loves Me) will play Miss Shields, and Emmy nominee Chris Diamantopoulos (Waitress) will play the Old Man in Fox's A Christmas Story Live!, airing on Sunday, December 17.
They join a company that includes Andy Walken as Ralphie, Maya Rudolph as Ralphie’s mother, and two-time Tony
Award winner Matthew Broderick, who will play the narrator.
From Warner Horizon Unscripted and Alternative Television, A Christmas Story Live! is inspired by the classic holiday film A Christmas Story and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical, featuring a score by Dear Evan Hansen Tony winners and La La Land Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who will compose new songs for the show.
Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will executive-produce, with Jonathan Tolins and Robert Cary serving as coexecutive producers and writers. Scott Ellis (She Loves Me) is an executive producer and will serve as the director overseeing the stage direction. Alex Rudzinski is an executive producer and will serve as the live television director.
