Jane Krakowski, Bryan Cranston, Kelli O'Hara Set for Roundabout Theatre Gala

The annual event will honor four-time Tony winner Frank Langella.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the lineup of performers for its upcoming 2017 spring gala, honoring four-time-Tony-winning stage and film actor Frank Langella (The Father). The event will take place February 27 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria.

Broadway alums Will Chase (Something Rotten!), Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Nikki M. James (Les Misérables), Jane Krakowski (She Loves Me), Kristolyn Lloyd (Dear Evan Hansen), Constantine Maroulis (Jekyll & Hyde), Andrea Martin (Noises Off), Kelli O'Hara (The King and I), and Betsy Wolfe (Falsettos), as well as Ingrid Michaelson and more are scheduled to perform. The evening will also include appearances by Alec Baldwin (Orphans), Bryan Cranston (All the Way), Kate Walsh (If I Forget), and playwright Steven Levenson (If I Forget, Dear Evan Hansen).

Langella will receive the Jason Robards Award for Excellence. Named after the late Jason Robards for his longstanding relationship with Roundabout and memorable body of stage work, it is given to those who have made an indelible impact on both Roundabout and the theater world. Actor Bryan Cranston will present the award.

In addition, Leonard Tow, founder and chairman of the Tow Foundation, will be honored with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. Roundabout Underground alum Jenny Rachel Weiner will present.

The gala creative team will feature Patrick Vaccariello (musical director), David Rockwell (set design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Shannon Slaton (sound design), John Barrett (hair and makeup), and Jason Sparks (choreographer), with clothing provided by THEIA.

All proceeds from the 2017 spring gala benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's New Play Initiative and Education programs. Roundabout's New Play Initiative cultivates new work by gifted playwrights at all stages of their careers through a three-pronged approach consisting of commissioning new works; developmental readings and workshops; and productions of new works through our Roundabout Underground program and our mainstage productions.
