Special performances by Broadway musicals ”Something Rotten!, Finding Neverland, It Shoulda Been You”, and more will take center stage at the nonprofit’s season-end celebration.
Manhattan Theatre Club will present its annual spring gala on Monday, May 18, at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year’s gala will be hosted by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski (Nine) and feature special guest and Tony Award nominee for Airline Highway's K. Todd Freeman, and performances by many musicals on Broadway, including Beautiful — The Carole King Musical, Finding Neverland, Gigi, It Shoulda Been You, On the Town, Something Rotten!, and The Visit.
The evening will be directed by Tony Award winner and On the Town Tony nominee John Rando along with a creative team including Jason Lyons (lighting design) and Leon Rothenberg (sound design).
The spring gala begins with cocktails at 7pm, followed by dinner, a live auction, and the gala performance beginning at approximately 9:15pm. All proceeds from this annual event will support MTC’s mission as a leading no-profit theater company developing and producing contemporary plays on and off-Broadway, as well as its renowned Education Program, which deepens students’ understanding of themselves and the world through the medium of theater.
